The Sony Pictures Television Inc show is the first TV series to be shot entirely on Long Island, and is filmed at Gold Coast Studios. James, a Long Island native, portrays character Kevin Gable, a newly retired police officer living in Massapequa with his family.

SYLVIO originated as a Vine character created by Birney.
