Students Walk Out on Long Island to Protest Gun Violence

Protesting gun violence, Mepham High School students walk out of class for 17 minutes; starting 10:00 am EST; one minute for each student shot and killed last month in a Parkland, Florida, H.S. Protest signs message is: PROTECT KIDS NOT GUNS. It was part of a nationwide walkout in soildarity with student shooting victims, and a demand for U.S. laws to reduce gun violence.
