Miss Wantagh Pageant ceremony, a long-time Independence Day tradition on Long Island, is Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Wantagh School, New York, USA. 2nd runner up was Paulina Renda (front center in white gown), and 3rd runner up was Alyson Hopkins (front left in blue gown). Since 1956, the Miss Wantagh Pageant, which is not a beauty pageant, has crowned a high school student based mainly on academic excellence and community service.
