  • Dec. 17, 2013 - Mineola, New York, U.S.-  JAMES CARVER, who recently won a third term as President of the Nassau County Police Benevolent Association, is with department officials at Tuesday’s news conference at PBA headquarters in Mineola, urging County Executive Mangano to promote a new commissioner from within the department, and vows to appeal decision by judge to keep disciplinary power with commissioner rather than outside arbitrators. On Dec. 14, the day after forcing out Commissioner Dale, Mangano said he plans to hire from outside a replacement who’s a disciplinarian like Dale.
