January 3, 2013 - Mineola, New York, U.S. - The Nassau County Districting Advisory Commission holds a night time meeting on two Redistricting maps for the 19 Legislative Districts, one proposed by Republicans, one by Democrats. In the standing room only chambers, dozens shared their views with the commission during the Public Comment segment. After a brief recess, the commission voted for each map, neither of which passed. By January 5 it must complete its work for the Nassau Legislature, which must pass a Redistricting map by March 5, 2013. After the meeting, people are exiting the Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative building near 11 PM.
