Feb. 27, 2013 - Garden City, New York, U.S. - HARRISON H. SCHMITT, Apollo 17 Astronaut and former U.S. Senator, is honored with the Spirit of Discovery Award, at the 10th Annual Cradle of Aviation Museum Air & Space Gala, celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Apollo 17. A Grumman F11 (F-11) Tiger jet with "U.S. Navy" on its side is suspended from the three floor atrium lobby, and Sen.
