East Meadow, New York, USA. December 31, 2014. A volunteer from Greater Long Island Running Club (GLIRC) helps give out colorful festive horns, noise makers, tiaras, and hats, before runners participate in a 5K New Year's Eve DASH to support the Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (LICADD) at the Twin RInks Ice Center at Eisenhower Park in Long Island. A Skatin' New Year's Eve event started hours earlier and a New Year's Eve Party, open to runners, family and friends continued until 2:30 a.m.
