Erik Lindbergh, grandson of aviator Charles Lindbergh, participates in 85th anniversary celebration of his grandfather's historic solo flight across Atlantic, on Saturday May 19, 2012, at Cradle of Aviation museum, Long Island, New York. Significance of the 1927 flight of C. Lindbergh's Spirit of St. Louis which started at nearby Roosevelt Field, and ended at Le Bourget, France - was discussed, along with future of aviation, by panelists (L to R at table) Larry Williams, Erik Lindbergh (purple shirt), Martha King and John King; plus, plaque commemorating the flight was rededicated. 10th anniversary of Cradle of Aviation opening and 35th anniversary of Charles A. & Anne Morrow Lindbergh Foundation were also celebrated.
