At Celebrate Earth Day at Nassau County Museum of Art, people bring plastic bags to recycle into art work by building a String Sculpture, with artists from NYC art collective Free Style Arts Association. Thora the Explorer, a two-year-old hedgehog, was one of the animals the Science Museum of Long Island Hands on Science Activity Center brought. Children painted colorful pictures on long rolls of paper spread out on the museum lawn.
