WENDY SIMSON, a teacher at Calhoun High School, is having haircut by BRENDA GALLO, a graduate of Calhoun, at the school's St. Baldrick's fund raising event. Simson is participating to honor her cousins who died of melanoma and cervical cancer. The Long Island school exceeded its goal of raising $50,000 for childhood cancer research. Plus, many ponytails cut off, such as Simson's, will be donated to Locks of Love foundation, which collects hair donations to make wigs for children who lost their hair due to medical reasons.
